We had a spare day in Puerto Varas and we used it to visit a place up the coast of the lake called Frutillar. This translates to strawberry tree and was named because of the wild strawberries found in the area. Having spent an afternoon there, we didn’t see a single strawberry let alone the mythical strawberry tree. A pleasant place for lunch on a sunny day and I am told featured in Race Around The World.
It’s just not the season yet🤷
