We arrived at El Calafate airport on schedule at 3.30pm. However, due to a flight change, the plane was scheduled to take off at 8.20pm. Just 5 hours to kill at a very small airport with no working WiFi. An airport with only 8 flights a day, didn’t put them off from having 2 gate changes in those 5 hours. And that’s more than long enough for the price of a pint to go up in Argentina. We arrived in Buenos Aires about midnight and were informed that the taxi wait was 40 minutes. It not all glamour this travel lark. Got to bed by 2am and up at 8am in time for a truly average breakfast before we legged it for the Colonia Express. That’s a ferry by the way. The ferry terminal was like an airport. No WiFi, and with only 2 ferries a day and 2 gates, was subject to a late gate change. Here the meek inherited the best seats as the back of the queue became the front. Some unusual pics as we pulled out of BA below.
