You can get a ferry here from Buenos Aires. It’s a medium sized Uruguayan town with a pretty old quarter and very much worth a visit. New money to negotiate with 53 pesos to the GBP so I have no clue how much I spent last night until I dare to look at my bank statement. What have we learned about Uruguay in the last 24 hours:-
They are very big on beef with 3 cows to one person. I haven’t met my 3 cows yet.
They have loads of very nice Uruguayan wine
The national dish is a steak sandwich with a fried egg
They are mad on football
So not like Argentina at all!
