Colonia De Sacramento

You can get a ferry here from Buenos Aires. It’s a medium sized Uruguayan town with a pretty old quarter and very much worth a visit. New money to negotiate with 53 pesos to the GBP so I have no clue how much I spent last night until I dare to look at my bank statement. What have we learned about Uruguay in the last 24 hours:-

They are very big on beef with 3 cows to one person. I haven’t met my 3 cows yet.

They have loads of very nice Uruguayan wine

The national dish is a steak sandwich with a fried egg

They are mad on football

So not like Argentina at all!
