We hitched a lift with James and Sophie from TDP to Punta Arenas where they were catching a boat for a cruise to Ushuaia and we were catching a coach to the same place. Can’t help thinking they had the better mode of transport although we would get there 3 days earlier and I have a feeling the coach tickets were cheaper. Hopefully we will see them again on our last night in Ushuaia. We didn’t have high expectations for Punta Arenas which proved to be correct although there were a few nice buildings, some interesting monuments and of course there was the stuffed animal museum. No photos in the stuffed animal museum. Sorry. The B&B was low end but great value for one night and they gave us eggs for breakfast. Yes! EGGS. As we paid we gifted them James’ bottle of car polish (well, he didn’t need it on the cruise), which caused a little confusion but sadly didn’t have the impact of lowering the bill I was hoping.
