There is a hill overlooking Salta with a cable car which takes you to the top. Approx £10 return each. There is also a narrow road that you can walk or cycle up for free but I’m not sure that would be such a good idea unless the weather was colder than it was for us. The views of the city are fantastic and there is a cafe and an unusual wine bar (don’t expect wine in the am).
